Skydive Big Sky offers a complete skydive experience for both newcomers and expert jumpers. Our focus is on safe skydiving and providing the ultimate in experience to anyone visiting our facility located just outside of Innisfail at the Big Bend Airport. Skydive Big Sky delivers the highest quality of training by keeping our focus on safety and adhering to and exceeding rules and regulations set forth by The Canadian Sport Parachuting Association.
Skydive Big Sky employs a rigorous maintenance program on all of our equipment. All parachutes are equipped with AAD (automatic activation devices) manufactured by Cypres and Vigil. At Skydive Big Sky we have always owned and operated our own aircraft. We do not lease aircraft from other outfits who have only their bottom line in mind. There has never been an airplane crash or major mechanical failure with any of our airplanes.
Our Aircraft
Skydive Big Sky currently incorporates a Cessna Turbo 206 and a Cessna 182 Wide Body. Both planes have wing tip extensions for that little extra climbing advantage to get jumpers to altitude just a little smoother and quicker.

as this keeps the atmosphere fun and exciting. Skydive Big Sky is one of the most experienced skydiving centres in Alberta Canada.
Beginners might think that parachuting and skydiving are simply the act of leaping out of a plane, pulling the rip cord and letting the parachute lower the skydiver gently to earth. This is true to some degree, however some instruction must be passed from expert to newcomer first.
All of our friendly staff members, from the qualified Instructors who supervise your training and jumps, to the skilled pilots who fly our airplanes, to the proficient packers who fold your parachute, have your service and satisfaction as their main objective. Skydive Big Sky is a progressive dropzone. Our goal is to continually expand our dropzone which will allow us to accommodate all disciplines of skydiving for both newcomers and experienced skydivers.
